Indonesian doctors.. are you waiting to be sued?

No offense!

My mom is a doctor! I have at least 5 close friends who are Indonesian doctors.



Since I was a little girl I know from my mom that there are two kinds of doctors, good doctor and the greedy ones.



Who are the good doctors? They are (regarding to my mom) who treat their patients for the disease they have but also think for the viability of their patients life (and having money in the future is one of it).

The bad doctors are doctors who just would do anything to increase their patients bill so the doctors will earn money out of it, and unnecessary expensive treatments not to mention medicines are a must. Of course generic drug is far away kicked out.



Confused? Let me simplify that.

How many times (this is for my Indonesian fellow) you go see a doctor and they say that you need to be operated then because of the green reason you visited another doctor who said that was nothing and he just need to treat you with simple medicine?

How many times they confuse you to hell?

How many times you see a doctor and when you was started to ask him / her question and him/her started to say, "dont worry everything is okay I have a lot of patients outside waiting" or " I will discuss it with you later in our next appointment" ?

How many times you dont even have a chance to ask him anything?

How many times they didnt explain you your condition is in a thorough way?

How many times when they prescribed you expensive brand medicine instead of generin even though he/she knew that your prescription won't be covered by insurance?



Hey sloppy Indonesian doctors!!!!!

I know it is hard to get in to medical school. Not even to mention your parents have to pay a lot of money to put you into school. And when you got in, it is so difficult, you dont have a life to live because all you have to deal with are books.



But there is no reason that you can just go public and treat people in any way you like it.



I assume doctors nowadays are less smart then the ones in old time. They dont study well, thats why. Thats what happened when they can not explain what happen to the patient.

Because smart good doctors will know what to tell patient regarding their condition. Know what the best treatment for their patients. Being comunicative is one of them.



Doctors... doctors...doctors... you just are waiting for the kettle to blow their whistles.

What happened before are those families of the patients are so overwhelming with the patient's condition that they didnt think thoroughly about your way of treatment. They were more concerned to the patient instead of the way you were doing the procedure.

And they were so un informed about the way it should be done.



But sooner or later, people becoming more knowledgeable. People learn. People have families who are doctors/ nurses/ pharmacists. They will learn that what you did was wrong. Or un ethical or was not in procedure. Or even more,.. not right!



Are you guys gonna change that? Treat your patients with you conscience. or..



Just wait! Suing is on its way.



ps: I am just so overwhelmed for the fact that one of my relative had been treated so badly by doctor recently backhome. To be exact at RS Siaga Jakarta by Dr Sofyan. Who suggested operation that cost Rp 60.000.000,- and didnt offer any other alternative at all. Thank you to God, that my family consulted to other doctor who is very very nice, humble, and SMART! He explain everything throughly, looked at all the facts and treated my family very well and she is fine now. And guess what? no need of Rp 60.000.000 operation. God bless him!
